01 How it works

Read. Organize. Email.

Bid lists tell you a bid exists. K12 Bid reads it: every document attached goes in, and a short brief for each new bid comes out, in an email on Tuesday or Friday.

  1. Read

Each new Category 2 bid request (Form 470) in your area, and every RFP and addendum attached.

  2. Organize

Dates, scope, brand wording, what can rule you out, budget and last winner, each cited to its page or paragraph.

  3. Email

An email on Tuesday and Friday when there are new bids in your area, with a short brief for each one. No new bids, no email. Nothing to log in to.

Checked before it's sent. Every quote must be found on the page it cites, and every date, time and quantity must appear in that quote. A fact that fails a check is left out, never guessed. Rezan also reviews briefs himself and checks every first email before it goes out.

Why am I sending this?
I'm Rezan, an independent researcher in Illinois. Twice a week I go through the new Category 2 Form 470s and their RFPs and pull out what an estimator needs to decide bid or no-bid: dates with page numbers, scope, requirements, past winners and prices. That way your team doesn't spend an hour in EPC on bids that don't fit. AI helps with the first read, every fact is checked against the page it cites, and I review this brief myself, but please confirm dates at USAC before you rely on them, and tell me if anything is wrong.

Want each new one near you read like this, free for 7 days? Reply "send". After that it's $600 for the season (to Mar 31), with a 30-day refund.

05 General notes

Before you rely on it

Applies to every brief
  1. Read with AI help, then checked.

Each brief is read with AI help. Every fact is then checked automatically against the page it cites, and Rezan reviews briefs himself and checks every first email. A brief can still be wrong, and schools change their documents. Section 2 of the terms covers what is checked.

  2. Confirm dates at USAC.

Confirm dates at USAC (or in the school's posted documents) before you rely on them. Your bid and its deadlines are yours.

  3. Independent.

K12 Bid is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, USAC, the FCC or the E-Rate program.

  4. Not advice.

It isn't legal or E-Rate compliance advice, and it doesn't tell you whether to bid.
